About Blazing Star Yoga
Blazing Star Yoga runs Hatha Yoga classes bi-weekly at Mill Hill Music Complex.
Blazing Star’s yoga instructor, Debbie, has been a regular practitioner of yoga for 10 years. She has completed a British Wheel foundation course and went on to qualify as a Yoga instructor 5 years ago through yoga professionals (level 3 500 hours). Debbie regularly visits Yoga retreats both in the UK and internationally to update and improve her classes.
Debbie leads small classes, for up to 8 people, which are suitable for all ages and abilities. Debbie is able to offer modifications in asanas ( postures) where necessary .
About Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga (also called hatha vidya), is a kind of yoga focusing on physical and mental strength building exercises and postures.
Yoga’s combined focus on mindfulness, breathing and physical movements brings health benefits with regular participation. Yoga participants report better sleep, increased energy levels and muscle tone, relief from muscle pain and stiffness, improved circulation and overall better general health. The breathing aspect of yoga can benefit heart rate and blood pressure. Yoga has proven benefit in combating depression and lowering stress levels. Hatha Yoga has been shown to be beneficial for people living with cancer and recovering from cancer treatments. Hatha Yoga is an ideal form of exercise for people suffering back problems and other muscular skeletal issues.
